On this Psyche Saturday, we begin our journey into the Cluster C personality disorders. These are the personality disorders described as anxious and fearful. Today we are discussing Avoidant Personality Disorder.
According to the DSM-5, Avoidant Personality Disorder, or AVPD, is characterized by a pervasive pattern of social inhibition, feelings of inadequacy, and hypersensitivity to negative evaluation.
